Wilson Pickins Promotions is proud to announce the addition of the "super group" FLASHBACK to it's solid roster of bluegrass entertainment. Flashback features former member's of the Grammy Nominated "Flashback" version of J.D Crowe And The Newsouth, Don Rigsby, Phil Leadbetter, Richard Bennett and Curt Chapman as well as the addition of Stuart Wyrick on banjo, after J.D. Crowe went back into retirement following the 2015 reunion tour.
Their latest album, "Foxhounds and Fiddles" was released on Pinecastle Records this past winter with rave reviews from media and industry peers alike.
""Foxhounds and Fiddles" really has something for every listener. It's not surprising since each of the guys have been out on their own creating their own experiences and careers over the past 20 years,” says Pinecastle’s Ethan Burkhardt. “What is surprising is the passion and zeal that each one of them exudes when they all get in a room together. It's as if they are back to being kids, getting the opportunity of a lifetime; playing with J.D. Crowe for the first time."
“This recording went down easier than anything I’ve ever been a part of.” -Phil Leadbetter.
Phil Leadbetter is a nominee for the 2017 IBMA Dobro Player of the Year Award, ceremony to be held next Thursday, 9/28, at the annual event in Raleigh NC. Flashback will be performing during the upcoming IBMA festivities Downtown next Saturday afternoon (9/30) at 12:00 PM on the City Plaza Stage.
Flashback will be headed back into the studio, the new home of Pinecastle Records, Bonfire Recording Studio, in 2018 to start on their next project. Stay tuned on Facebook and their website for up to the minute details on that exciting news, as well as where and when they will be bringing their show to a stage near you!
